Carbon fiber reinforcedmultilayered (PyC- SiC) n matrix ( C/( PyC -SIC) n) composites were prepared by means of layer-by-layer deposi- tion of PyC and SiC and varying PyC-SiC se- quences via isothermal chemical vapor infiltration. Effects of the number of PyC-SiC layer (n= 1, 2 and 4) on the matrix microstructure, elec- trical conductivity, mechanical and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding properties of C/ (PyC-SiC) n composites were investigated.
