从晚明到晚清:知识史视域中的西学翻译史——邹振环《晚明汉文西学经典:编译、诠释、流传与影响》述评

On Zou Zhenhuan's Chinese Classics of Western Learning in the Late Ming Dynasty:Edition,Interpretation,Distribution and Influence

复旦大学邹振环教授的著作《晚明汉文西学经典:编译、诠释、流传与影响》,从知识史的角度切入,对晚明来华传教士的西学汉译经典进行了论述。该著每一章以个案研究的形式,详论了晚明西学东渐的十个经典案例。该著的意义不仅在于将传教士西学汉译的影响跟踪到晚清,还将中国社会源自西方的现代性追溯到晚明。邹教授的这部专著,既属于知识史,又属于翻译史,对于中国翻译史的书写具有重要启示意义。

Chinese Classics of Western Learning in the Late Ming Dynasty： Edition, Interpretation, Distribution and Influence, written by Professor Zou Zhenhuan in Fudan University, discourses the Chinese rendered classics of western learning by missionary in the per- spective of knowledge history. Ten typical cases of ＂Dissemination of Western Learning to the Orient＂ are exposited chapter by chapter. Its significance does not only lie in extending missionary＇ s introduction of western learning to the Late Qing Dynasty, but also in tracing Chinese social modernity from the West back to the Late Ming Dynasty. This book belongs to both knowledge and translation history, en- lightening the writing of Chinese translation history.
