大学联合团体的契机与危机——以英国“罗素大学集团”为例之探析

The Opportunities and Crisis of University Groups:Taking the Russell Group of United Kingdom as a Case Study

长久以来,英国高等教育质量始终居于世界前列,在世界高校排行榜中也具有较高声誉。在这一背景之下,各大学为了进一步发展,先后相互结盟,在这其中尤以全英24所顶尖高校结盟的"罗素大学集团"受到了世人瞩目。就现阶段而言,罗素大学集团面临着新时期的契机,这些契机一方面是由于罗素大学集团教育成果丰硕进而声望较高,另一方面由于罗素大学集团具有充足的战略政策,加之与其他团体的积极合作。但与此同时,罗素大学集团也面临着来自国内外的质疑与挑战,使得这一大学联盟不免处于危机之中。当前全球高等教育系统已逐渐走入相互融合的进程,以其为借鉴而深入探讨相关的因素互动,对高等教育"公共领域"的发展进程有着极大借鉴意义,也能够对我国如何探索出契合的路径更好地完成高等教育联盟的范式转型有所启发。

The UK＇s universities have possessed an important role in the world university ranking, due to its high quality. Under this context, universities tend to make alliance to promote a further development. Russell Group, as a good example, has attacked lots of attention and become the most distinguished universities alliance in the country. At the current stage, Russell Group faces a new opportunity to develop because on the one hand the Group has high prestige in education outcomes. On the other hand, the Group is developing based on sufficient strategic policies and proactive collaboration with other universities. However, in the meanwhile, the Group encounters critiques and challenges either in the domestic context or in the international context, which leads the Group into a crisis. Cur- rently, the global higher education system has gradually entered into a process of integration. Under this context, to promote a further development of higher education in a public domain, it is necessary to explore the related factors and their relationships. This will also help China＇s higher education to find an appropriate path to complete a transition towards making university alliance.
