The Religious Temple Culture of Yuanqu in Shanxi in Qing Dynasty

清朝垣曲地区共有84座寺庙,宗教信仰类型多样,所拜祭之神更是种类繁多,充满着时代与地方特色。儒释道等多种信仰的融合与发展共同构成了垣曲的宗教寺庙文化,但该地区却并未受到西教与伊斯兰教的影响。垣曲寺庙修(重)建的力量主要源于民间自发的捐建,而祭祀与庙会日期的设定则多与农业生产和生活密切相关。

There are 84 temples in Yuanqu in Qing Dynasty and the type of religious diversity and the worship of God is full of variety, age and local characteristics. The integration and development of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism and other religious beliefs together constitute the religious temple culture in Yuanqu, but they are not affected by the Western religion and Islam. The funds to reconstruct Yuanqu temples mainly originates from the folk＇s voluntary donation, and sacrifice and the temple date setting is more closely related to agricultural production and life.
