Functions and Developing Trend of Sports Meeting in Regular Institutions of Higher Learning

高校运动会是以"以生为本、健康第一"为指导思想,"全员参与、共同提高、共享体育"快乐为目的。通过实地调查,总结归纳普通高校运动会的功能,对普通高校运动会组织形式、项目设置、竞赛体制、淡化金牌等提出改革措施,让全体师生真正成为运动会的主人,使"重在参与"的奥运精神在普通高校运动会中得以体现。

The paper discusses the functions of sports meeting in regular institutions of higher learning, and puts forward some reform measures in terms of organization type, item setting, competition system, and dilution of gold medal. By doing this we can ensure every teacher and student is an active participant of the sports meeting, so the Olympic spirit ＂focus on participation＂ can be realized.
