Analysis of the Studies on the Translation of Chinese Literary Classics in T'ien Hsia Monthly

《天下月刊》是民国时期中国精英知识分子自主创办的一份英文杂志,向西方译介了大量中国古典文学作品,开启了中国人自主向外部世界传播中国文学之先河,有专题研究之必要。在对《天下月刊》中国古典文学英译研究进行历史回顾的基础上,分析研究现状及存在的问题,提出今后研究的思路与方法,以期深化文学典籍英译理论研究,并为典籍英译实践提供参考。

T＇ien Hsia Monthly, an English magazine edited by Chinese elite intellectuals in the period of Republic of China, translated a large number of translations of Chinese literary classics to the west and inbtiated Chinese people＇s independent spread of Chinese culture to the outside world, hence it is necessary to carry out specific research.
