奥巴马国情咨文的新亚里士多德修辞批评

美国总统通过国情咨文陈述本党的施政纲领,驾驭其与国会的关系,发挥领导作用。奥巴马的劝说策略可以在其演讲中得到淋漓尽致的呈现。国情咨文更是他各类演讲的精华。通过选取奥巴马2 0 1 3年发表的国情咨文,从新亚里士多德修辞批评的角度来分析,并找出其中的劝说策略。新亚里士多德批评可以从重构修辞情景、解构修辞文本和评估修辞效果三个方面展开。运用新亚里士多德主义修辞批评来分析奥巴马2 0 1 3年发表的国情咨文,主要考察奥巴马是否调动了一切可能的说服手段,他运用了怎样的演说手段,激起了受众怎样的预期反应,来实现他怎样的修辞目的。

The State of the Union Address has become American President＇s basic means of stating the political policies and interact-ing with the Congress, as well as a powerful way of executing the leadership. Obama＇s persuasive strategies can be well demonstrated in his speeches, of which The State of the Union Address is the essence. This paper aims to choose Obama’s The 2013 State of the Union Address as a case, study it in a Neo-Aristotelian Rhetorical Perspective and find the hidden persuasion.
