This paper introduces the water-through cooling system of the bar mill pro-duction line in Masteel and describes the timed temperature detection device for bars on the cooling table in detail. System modification and realization of the control system program are analyzed from the aspects of both software and hardware. After the system was put into oper-ation equipment faults have been significantly reduced and remarkable economic benefit achieved.
