潘光旦先生的社会科学翻译贡献

A Study on Pan Guangdan's Achievements in Translating Social Science Classics

潘光旦先生在社会学、优生学和教育学等领域的学术贡献早已得到广泛认可,但是他译介西方学术名著的贡献尚未得到足够关注。实际上潘光旦的翻译实践是其学术工作的重要组成部分,所译作品对我国相关学科的建设方面发挥过重要作用。本文从潘光旦的代表性译作、翻译特点以及翻译理念等方面,阐释了潘光旦的社会科学翻译贡献。

Pan Guangdan has been highly appraised for his academic writings in various fields like sociol-ogy ,eugenics and pedagogy. However, his achievements in translating foreign social science classics have not received due attention. In fact, his academic translations are of equal importance as his writings in contribu-ting to the development of social sciences in China. Based on his representative translations, translation fea-tures and principles, this paper interprets his achievements in translating social science classics.
