Seeing Feng En off with Lei Yang Songs:Feng En's Exile to Leizhou and Ming Dynasty Historical Events

冯恩应诏进谏反成钦犯,判死刑,免死后戍雷州。这些重大事件产生了三组特殊题材的诗歌:送冯恩赴雷的雷阳歌、迎冯恩回乡的南江歌,及歌颂冯恩精神的回澜台歌。这些诗歌与朝廷举措完全对立,折射出明嘉靖时国策乖谬、国是背离民心的现象及其所引起的深刻的政治危机,反映了朝廷高层的政治斗争与民心向背等历史风云。它从雷州地方的视角,揭示了忠良被贬反而更得人心的贬谪规律。

Feng En became a prisoner and sentenced to death when he was called to make recommendation.Luckily,he escaped from the punishment and was exiled to Leizhou.These events turned into the sources of three groups of poetry：Leiyang song of seeing Feng En off to Leizhou,Nanjing song of welcoming Feng En back home,and Back to Lantai song of praising the spirit of Feng En.The content of these songs are generally against the government,which shows the crisis caused by the absurdness,and the deviation between the government and the common people.It reveals the fact that the loyal official who is wronged and banished turns out to be popular among people in this case.
