概念整合视角下北路壮剧英译研究

A Study on English Translation of North Zhuang Opera from the Perspective of Conceptual Blending Theory

北路壮剧是壮族文化艺术的瑰宝,具有相当高的文化价值和历史价值,其英译实践及相关研究的展开有利于向西方读者更好地传播壮文化。从认知的角度看待翻译,使之具有动态操作性,能让我们更好地理解和认识翻译过程及本质。从概念整合的角度出发,以北路壮剧汉英翻译为研究对象,从文化俗语、修辞和句式三个角度切入,经研究发现译者在原文和译文的双重制约下,作出了恰当选择,既照顾了译语读者的阅读习惯,也向他们生动再现了壮文化特色。

North Zhuang Opera, as the treasure of Zhuang culture, is of highly literary value and histori-cal value. The translation and related studies of it is beneficial lor the introduction of Zhuang culture to the western readers. Translation studies from the perspective of cognitive linguistics make translation a dynamic process which can help us understand the essence of translation better. This paper aims to analyze the English translation of the North Zhuang Opera guided by the ＂ conceptual blending＂ theory. It concludes that transla-tors have done a good job to show the readers the Zhuang culture vividly as well as catering to their reading habits in the translation of proverbs, metaphors and sentence structures.
