On Reshaping the Social Image of Teachers

摘要 千百年来,人们对教师文学化、写意化的赞美,使人们忽视要通过教师现实生存状况去把握其社会形象。近百年来,教师在政治地位、经济地位、生存状况等各方面面临的问题,使教师职业和角色被"祛魅"和"矮化",难以成为最值得学生尊崇、效仿的对象。教师是有生存发展的权利和需求的普通劳动者。他们秉持真情实意关爱学生、真才实学成就学生的职业伦理,专门从事人类知识的生产和传播工作,在促进人类自身提升和发展方面发挥着特殊作用,体现着特殊价值。要重塑教师的社会形象,就必须突破思维瓶颈,切实提高教师待遇,强化法制建设,提升师德水平。 For thousands of years, people have evaluated teachers' social image according to those literary praise with negligence of their real living conditions. In the recent hundred years, teachers are facing various problems in political sta-tus, economic status and living conditions, which makes teacher disenchanted as an occupation and a social character, and teachers are hardly admired by students any more. Teachers are ordinary working people with rights and needs of living and development. They hold professional ethics tha t they should take care of students sincerely and teach students with their knowledge. Teachers engage in producing and spreading knowledge,and play a specific role in pushing humans to improve and develop themselves. In order to reshape teachers' social image, we have to break through the bottleneck of thinking, increase teachers' salaries and welfare, strengthen the legal system, and improve teachers' morality.
