Port of Call——a Reflecting on Human Nature

由翁子光导演执导的《踏血寻梅》是一部具有"新香港精神"的影片,以严肃的叙述基调和相对复杂的叙事结构展开对事件真相的追问。影片从残酷的现实、人的价值、破碎的理想三个方面分析和探讨处于社会边缘的人及其人性,折射出对人性的拷问和对社会问题的反思。

Port of Call,directed by Director WENG Ziguang,is a film implying “the spirit o f new Hong Kong”.The truth of the event is tracked down in a serious narrative tone and in a relatively complex narrative structure. Ilie film analyses and explores the people living on the margin of the society and their human nature from three aspects： cruel reality, human value and broken dreams, which reveals a reflection on human nature and social issues.
