摘要
受气候变暖的影响,北极地区的经济潜力日益显现,北极已经从"科考时代"进入到了"开发时代"。目前,能源、航运、渔业、旅游等企业纷纷在北极地区投资布局,但由于北极地区特殊的自然环境,企业在开发北极的过程中也呈现出了诸多问题。自2013年5月成为北极理事会的正式观察员国以来,中国企业也积极参与北极经济开发。中国企业在参与北极事务的进程中,除了追求经济利益之外,还应加强公共外交功能,注重社会责任,进而提升中国的企业形象和中国北极事务中的话语权。
With the impact of global warming, the economic potential of the Arctic is increasingly no-ticeable, and the world has transformed from " scientific investigation" to " development" in the Arctic. Under this background, corporations in energy, shipping, fishing and tourism sectors are pioneering in their investment in the Arctic. However, there are a lot of difficulties in this process because of the special environment in the Arctic. China was accepted as an observer to the Arctic Council since May 2013, and thus Chinese corporations are looking for business opportunities in this region. Besides economic benefits, Chinese corporations should pay attention to corporate public diplomacy and their social responsibilities, thus trying to enhance Chinese corporations, images and China's discourse power in the Arctic.
