Data, in the Women in Politics 2017 Map, released on March 15 by the Inter-Parliamentary Union （IPU） and UN Women, indicated participation of women at the ministerial level, globally, stood at 18.3 percent. IPU data indicates the global average of women in national parliaments increased from 22.6 percent, in 201S, to 23.3 percent, in 2016. That means there is still a lot of room for improvement in the level of women＇s participation in politicsglobally.
