Luo Bingliang specialized in the history of Chinese historiography and has made his academic contributions in many fields, among which the Zhang Xuecheng study is unique. Zhang Xuecheng complex deeply influenced his personality, study, and teaching. He sought not fame or fortune but learning. He adhered firmly to learning principles and made unique contributions to the study of the history of Chinese Historiography.
