转型发展中的西部地方院校大学英语教学的困境与破解策略

摘要 转型发展中的西部地方院校大学英语教学面临着教学效果差,师资质量不高,教学模式单一,学生动机水平低,课程不能满足个性化需求,教学设施不足等困境。教学改革应立足于服务学校人才培养目标的课程定位;兼具工具性和人文性的课程性质;以基础等级为主的教学目标;以培养英语应用能力为主的教学要求。文章从课程设置、教学模式、运行方式、教学评价、教学管理等方面提出了具体的破解策略。 In the process of transition, English teaching in local colleges in western regions in China faces difficulties like poor teaching effect, low teacher quality, single way of teaching, low student motivation, insufficient individualized curriculum, and inadequate teaching facilities. Teaching reform should have the school's talent cultivation objectives as its curriculum orientation; being both instrumental and humanistic as its curriculum nature; completing the basic level tasks as its teaching objective; cultivating English application ability as its most crucial teaching requirement. The article puts forward concrete solutions from the aspects of curriculum plan and teaching mode, operation, evaluation and management.
