摘要
罗兰·雷希特的《信仰与观看:哥特式大教堂艺术》(1999)是近年来最重要的研究哥特式艺术的著作。以回望传统为基础,雷希特书写了一部哥特式艺术研究方法与成果的历史,折射出19~20世纪艺术史学科的发展趋势。通过重新评价哥特式艺术的形式、功能、观者与宗教思想和礼仪间的互动关系,他论证了中世纪末期艺术日益增强的可视性趋向,从视觉的角度革新了读者对哥特式艺术的认识。
Written by Roland Recht, Le croire et le voir: I'art des cathedrales, Xlle-XVe siecle (1999) is the most significant academic work on Gothic Art in recent years. Basing on the retrospection of tradition, Recht composed a history of the research methods and achievements of Gothic Art, which reflects the development trend of Art History from 19 -20th century. By re-evaluating the interaction between Gothic Art's form, function, audience and religious thoughts along with rituals, he demon- strated the enhanced visual trend in the art of late Middle Ages, hence innovated the readers' comprehensions of Gothic Art.
