与其他新能源汽车逐步普及桕比，燃料电池汽车在全球的推广应用步伐略显缓慢。无论是经济发达的欧、美、日，还是大力发展新能源汽车的中国，燃料电池汽车目前都处于探索期。制造和使用成本偏高、配套设施不完善是制约燃料电池汽车全而商业化的主因，而随着技术以及宏观政策环境的变化。

It was no denial that high costs of production and operation, and lack of relevant facilities were two major factors that had retrained fuel-cell vehicles from commercializing in the market for now. However, as the fast development of related technologies and favorable change of macroeconomic environment and regulations, fuel-cell vehicles are gradualy developing into the mature stage for commercial market. Foton, after development of a couple of fuel-cell bus models since 2006, would continue to develop city-to-city fuel-cell AUV buses of 8-m and 10-m in length.
