On Subtitle Translation of Hero in the Light of Eco-translatology

生态翻译学认为"翻译即适应与选择",译文的产生是译者多维度适应和适应性选择的结果。贾佩琳拥有丰富的字幕翻译经验且精通中西文化,由其担任电影《英雄》的字幕译者是对其自身能力、兴趣和国际市场适应的结果。翻译过程中,贾佩琳在语言、文化、交际三个维度上进行了适应性选择,有意识地选择了缩减、省略、释义等翻译策略成功地进行了字幕翻译,最终实现了"译有所为"。

Eco -tanslatology refers to an approach to translation studies from an ecological conception, which inter- prets the translation activity from the perspective of adaptation and selection. As the subtitle translator of Hero, Lin- da Jaivin＇ s choice is actually her adaptation to her competence and also caters to her internal need and the external need. Translation strategies of generalization, replacement, reductive paraphrasing, deletion etc. are consciously employed to adapt to influential factors of the subtitle eco - environment in Jaivin＇ s subtitle translation of the film.
