Portrait of the Characters in the Turbulent Age——A Comparative Analysis of Tianjie and Teahouse

由赵明环和郭中束合作编剧的话剧《天诫》同老舍先生的《茶馆》都具有浓厚的民族特色和地域特点,故事时间跨度较大,同样采取了人像展览式的剧作结构方法,展现了动荡时期社会上各种类型的人物及其命运选择。本文以戏剧人物形象分析为基点,通过《天诫》与《茶馆》中的人物比较,得出两个剧本在人物塑造上的异同与各自的特色。

The dramas Tianjie and Teahouse created by Zhao Minghuan, Guo Zhongshu and Laoshe respectively have strong national features and regional characteristics. The time span of the stories is longer, and the method of portrait-display style structure is adopted, revealing the various types of characters and choices of their fate in the turbulent age. Based on the analysis of dramatic characters, this paper explores the similarities and differences in their respective characterization from the two scripts through comparing the characters in Tianjie and Teahouse.
