文章简要介绍了巴黎圣母院这一哥特建筑典范的建筑特征以及建造历史,通过对圣母院19世纪至今保护或修复历程的展示,阐释了在维奥莱-勒-杜克"风格性修复"影响下,法国独特的建筑遗产保护哲学;解析了从文物建筑保护部门的诞生到今天建立了完善健全的监督、研究机构体系的演进过程;同时,也总结了两个多世纪以来保护技术的发展。

This article introduces briefly the features and the construction history of the Notre Dame Cathedral de Paris, which is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. It reviews the conservation or the so-called ＇restoration＇ history of this cathedral, illustrates the conservation methodology in France that is derived from the work of Viollet-le-Duc, and demonstrates the progress from the creation of the Department of Historic Monuments to the establishment of the integrated system of supervision and research institutions. This article also summarizes the development of conservation technology during the past two centuries.
