The 12^(th) Congress of Party Representatives in Weifang put forward a planning layout that Weifang should make efforts to build up a city with four special characteristics—city of powerful industry,city of famous city of vitality,and city of quality.From the different aspects concerning the city development,the new goals and orientation were proposed.In the construction journey of a cultural famous city,Shihuyuan Cultural Block,as the most vivid cultural landmark of Weifang,has born the important task of creating the highlight project and inheriting the urban cultural essence since the day when it was put into operation.Since the two years when Shihuyuan Cultural Block was put into operation,the operation team of Shihuyuan Cultural Block represented by Li Wei has started from the perspective of urban operators,focused on the profound historical cultural accumulations,deeply explored the charm of traditional cultures,enriches the atmosphere of the park with brand activities,exhibitions and performances,thus keeping satisfying the multi-layer and diversified cultural demands of the public and highlighting the public good and service features of the block.In the short two years,they have made the park busy and prosperous again.Therefore,it has become the first station for domestic and foreign tourists to visit Weifang and the real cultural meeting hall of Weifang.The works exhibitions of the famous calligraphers and painters with different styles and profound impact have become the main place for the citizens to appreciate the calligraphy and painting art in daily life.It is reputed as the new landmark of the Chinese painting capital.
