《四库全书总目》是清代乾隆年间纂修《四库全书》时的副产品,自成书以来,一直被文史学者所推崇,具有重要的参考价值和学术价值。然而,其中却存在很多的谬误,有的是史书成书年代错误,有的是作者籍贯错误,有的是作者时代错误,还有的是论述错误,这些错误均是由于四库馆臣未经细审,看到只言片言即匆忙下结论所致。

General Catalog of Imperial Collection of Four is the product of Si Ku Quan Shu which compiled in Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. The book is rewarded and respected by history scholars since the book was finished, which has important reference and academic values. But there are still many mistakes in this book. Many scholars have pointed out some errors such as time, author＇s nationalities, statements and so on, which are caused by the dis-careful editing and rush conclusion.
