面对新世纪、新形势、新情况、新问题 ,云南公安高等专科学校积极探索适合于新形势发展、适合于云南公安工作和队伍建设需要、适合于全国禁毒斗争和禁毒执法教育培训要求的新途径 ,从 80年代初期开设禁毒讲座 ,1997年成立禁毒研究所 ,并率先设立了禁毒专业 ,至今成立禁毒系 ,逐步形成了具有云南公安特色的教育特点和优势 ,先后完成了多项国家级、省级、校级有关禁毒研究课题 ,在禁毒研究和禁毒教学实践方面 。

Facing to new century,new situation,new conditionand new problems,Yunnan Public Security College active explexes a new path which applies to developing situation,public security work in practice,the need of staff construction,the need of the national drug enforcement struggle and the reguestment of the educational training of drug law enforcement;In the early 1980's,the college opened drug enforcemenl lectures,then in 1997,set up drug enforcement institute and first establishes the drug enforcement major under the department of crime investigation;this year,with ripe condition enventually turns the drug erforcement major into the drug enforcement department,seperating from the crime investigation department,the college has gradually owned educational features and advantages full of yunnan public security characteristies,has year by year completed many national,provincial and college reserch projects on drug enforcement and becomes one of pioneers all over the country on drug enforcement research,teaching and practice.
