矿区位于准噶尔北部的萨吾尔-二台Cu、Ni、Au成矿带内,萨吾尔-二台成矿带是新疆北部的一个重要成矿带,成矿带内主要赋矿地层是下泥盆统托让库都克组(D_1t)、中泥盆统北塔山组(D_2bt)、蕴都喀拉组(D_2yd)和上泥盆统卡希翁组(D_3k)、下石炭统姜巴斯套组(C_1j)。已形成多个岩浆型、火山岩型、矽卡岩型、斑岩型、破碎蚀变岩型中-大型铜、镍、金等矿床,如喀拉通克大型岩浆型铜镍硫化物矿床、索尔库都克中型火山-热液型铜钼矿、萨尔布拉克金矿床、老爷庙铁矿及琼河坝铁矿等,另外,还发育有较多的金、铜等矿点。

Mine is located in the northern Junggar Sawuer-two Cu,Ni,Au in Sawuer metallogenic belt,two Taiwan metallogenic belt is an important metallogenic belt of North Xinjiang metallogenic zone,mainly occurs in the Lower Devonian strata is up to Kudouke group（D1t）,Middle Devonian North Tower the mountain group（D2bt）,in all groups（D2yd） and the upper Devonian Kaxiweng group（D3k）,the lower Carboniferous jiangbathtao group（C1j）.Has formed a magmatic type,volcano rock type,skarn type,porphyry type,altered rock type in large copper,nickel and gold deposits,such as the Karatungk magmatic Cu Ni sulfide deposit of large and medium-sized suoerkuduke volcano hydrothermal type copper molybdenum deposit,gold deposit,Sal Braque Laoyemiao qiongheba iron ore and iron ore,in addition,also developed gold and copper ore more.
