How Can College Students Learn Idioms and Phrases Efficiently

外语教学从本质上讲,是一种"费时费力、不进则退"的技能性训练过程。新世纪以来,大学英语的教学标准不断提高,社会各界对于教学效果的反思日益深刻。在这种情况下,人文性、工具性、实效性成了大学英语所面临的三大难题。2012年以来,随着"慕课"平台的广布、"互联网+"概念的提出,信息化又成为英语教学改革的一个焦点问题。本文结合上述四个方面的问题,结合为期6年的"英语学习小百科资源库"项目建设工作,聚集英语短语习语的学习,分别从"存在问题、多元教法、百科资源"三个层面入手,探讨如何通过"互联网+基础研究+百科资源"的方法,来促进英语习惯用法的教学改革。

Language teaching is basically a time-consuming and polishing-or-rusty type of skill training.The new millennium has witnessed the three problems in college English teaching along with the pressure for higher requirements and reflections on quality teaching:Humanism,instrumentality,and efficiency.Keeping these difficulties in mind and basing the study on the results from a six-year project on English usage study,we examined the issue of English phrases and idioms and attempted to promote the teaching of these linguistic forms with the support from information technology,basic research,and encyclopedic resources.
