Nanshan Group is located in Longkou, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Yantai city in Shandong province. It covers an area of 2 513 km^2. All the enterprises of Nanshan Group are distributed in a circle with the radius not beyond 20 kin. Shandong Alu- minum Co. , Ltd. after 24 years＇ growth, has developed into the largest single comprehensive enterprise with the most complete industrial chain, which is integrated with electric power, aluminum oxide, primary aluminum, and aluminum materials. Production capacity of various aluminum products are listed as follows：the production capacity of aluminum oxide, primary aluminum and extrusion products are 1 600 kt/a,835 kt/a and around 643 kt/a, respective- ly. They include 203 kt/a structural aluminum, 220 kt/a general industrial materials, 220 kt/a aircraft-grade materials and 980 kt/a fiat-rolled aluminum products, among which there are 100 kt/a general thick plates,50 kt/a aircraft-grade thick plates,50 kt/a aircraft- grade thin plates ,630 kt/a general sheets and strips （including 100 kt/a ABS）. The produc- tion capacity of aluminum forgings and foils are 14 kt/a and 80 kt/a, respectively. The total production capacity is 1 640 kt/a.
