Amy Tan frequently presented tragic marriage to the audience, and castigated the slavery and damage of the unreasonable marriage system upon women in The Joy Luck Club, The Kitchen God＇s Wife and The Bonesetter＇s Daughter. This paper aims at discussing the awaking of feminine con- sciousness in Amy Tan＇s writing from the perspective of feminism, and the difficult process of women＇s resistance and spiritual maturity which is of active significance for modern females to develop their awareness of independence and establish equal and harmonious marriage.
