英国高等教育的通识教育理念对我国大学英语教学的启示

Enlightenment of General Education Concept of British Higher Education on College English Teaching in China

英国大学培养出大批杰出的政治家、科学家等各领域人才,其水平居于世界前列。通识教育理念,作为英国高等教育的重要理念,渗透在英国高等教育中。借鉴英国高等教育的通识教育成功经验,结合我国目前大学英语教学现状,可从课程设置、教学模式、考核体系、教师发展、自主学习五个方面对大学英语教学进行改革,提高大学英语教学效果,培养出满足国家和社会发展需要的人文素养较高、综合能力较强的人才。

The British higher education enjoys a higher standard in the world, for many outstanding politicians, scientists, and talents in other areas graduated from British universities. The idea of General Education, as an important idea of British idea, embodies in British higher education. Drawing lessons from successful experience of general education in British universities, the revolution of College English teaching could be carried out in the five aspects of curriculum design, teaching modes, test systems, teachers＇ development, and independent learning, considering the current situations of College English teaching in China.
