摘要
今通行本《老子》出现"辞"字凡两次,学界对其训诂集中在"言说""推辞"二义的争辩上。然"言说"一义于上下文义及语法皆难圆照,"推辞"一义则与《老子》一书整体思想不合。"辞"字本义为讼,理乱之属;二章之"辞"字古本作"始",古"始""治"通,亦理乱之义。故"辞""始"二字义同,可训为"治理"。如此,古今本异文问题可不必再论,且与上下文文义、语法均通,又恰合于老子"无为而治"之思想。
In the book of Lao Zi, the word of "Ci"appears twice, people will give explanation for it and focus on arguing about two meanings of "narration'and "refuse".However, the meaning of "narra- tion" doesn't suit for the context and "refuse" doesn't conform to the whole idea of the book Lao Zi. The word of "Ci"should be interpreted as management."Ci"in the second chapter means " since in the ancient time;" beginning beginning beginning 99 9 "and "governance" have the same meaning. Therefore, "Ci" means " ,and can be explained as "governance". As a result,this problem needn't be discussed, and it is compatible with the context and grammar, exactly explaining "Wuwei" thought of Lao Zi.
