荀子儒学经典诠释方法论发微

Interpretation of Confucian Classics by Xunzi

荀子感应战国末期社会转型的特定需要,总结各家各派的经典诠释经验,重新确立了诠释儒家经典的基本目标,重新建构了关于儒家经典的文本观念,并且以此作为建构新的儒家经典诠释方法论的引导。而就创建新的儒家经典诠释方法论而言:荀子首先重视的是"诵数以贯之,思索以通之",亦即通过诠释与思索,而将儒家经典文本之所讲所论贯穿起来以发掘并洞明其中的道理;荀子特别重视的是"布乎四体,形乎动静"、"为其人以处之",亦即通过诠释儒家经典,诠释者能够对儒学精神学以致用,在致用中加深理解与诠释;荀子十分重视的还有,它能促使诠释者逐渐进入一种理想境界,亦即"使心非是无欲虑也,及至其致好之也"。

sXunzi realized the specific needs of social transformation in late Warring States period. Summarizing the classic interpretations of various factions , he re-established the basic goal of inter -pretation of the Confucian classics, re-constructed the text concept,and set the methodology guide. As to a new method on the interpretation of Confucian Classics , Xunzi emphasized interpretation and thinking to explore andunderstand the truth ; Xunzi paidparticular attention to the spirit of Confu -cianism in understanding and interpretation ; and more importantly,it can promote the interpreter gradually into an ideal realm of appreciation.
