摘要
本文重点考察民国时期北平图书馆的隶属关系,以沿革历程为脉络,将北平图书馆置于不同的参照系中,分析隶属关系对该馆的意义,中华教育文化基金董事会在北平图书馆现代化历程中所起到的作用可得到清晰把握,国民政府教育部与中基会、北平图书馆这三者之间的关系也能得到厘清。北平图书馆的隶属关系问题与该馆的生存处境密切关联,对其进行讨论,可揭示中国现代图书馆事业史中最为艰难却又最为坚韧的一面。
The National Library of Peping was affiliated to and worked together by the Ministry of Education in the Period of Republic of China and China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture (CFPEC) from 1929 to 1945. As a copartner, CFPEC played a rather important role in the modernization process of the National Li-brary of Peping for the full support in funding and reasonable management while the Ministry of Education took a more conservative stance as to the development of the Library. This article tries to clarify the relationship of administrative subordination issue of the National Library of Peping because it reflected the most challenging and tenacious part of the modern history of China library.
