National Disabled Library of South Korea and the Library Services for the Disabled

In 2006, South Korea revised the Library Law （ Law No. 8069） , clearly stipulating that library has the obligation to guarantee the information access for the disabled. In 2012, National Disabled Library was set up in South Korea, aiming to enhance the services for the disabled and provide a variety of new services. The article summarizes the whole process of legal amendment by South Korean government to improve services for the disabled in these years, and overviews the establishment, functions and service situation of National Disabled Library to use for reference.
