A Study of College English Periodical Tests on the Basis of Formulaic Sequences Theory

基于语块理论的大学英语阶段性测试研究的核心是,运用实证研究的方法,以语块理论为指导设计阶段性测试,利用测试的反拨效应,增强学生的语块意识和语块学习动机,提高学生的自主学习能力和学习效度。研究结果表明:基于语块理论的阶段性测试有效提升了学生对语块的认知,拓展了词汇学习的广度和深度,对英语综合能力的提高也有一定程度的促进作用。

The core of the research on college English periodical tests on the basis of Formulaic Sequences Theory is to apply the empirical approach to design periodical tests with the guide of Formulaic Sequences Theory, and by using the wash-back of the tests, to enhance students＇ formulaic sequences learning awareness and learning motivation, and thus to improve their independent learning ability and the validity of English study. The results of the research prove that, periodical tests on the basis of Formulaic Sequences Theory strengthen students＇ cognition of formulaic sequences, broaden and deepen their lexical study, and to some degree, promote their English proficiency.
