无论在学生时期,还是在职业革命家和政治家的生涯中,周恩来总是从国家需要的角度认识体育运动的价值和意义,要求体育事业以促进国家民族的生存与发展为目标。"把体育运动和国家前途连结起来"是周恩来体育观的核心。在它的指导下,周恩来的体育观无论是强调个人强身健体,还是号召人民增强体质,或者鼓励竞技体育项目取得好成绩,都体现出强烈的政治性以及对体育运动规律的尊重。特殊的时代背景和总理身份,使得周恩来的体育观虽然融入了他个人对于体育运动的体会和认识,但在很大程度上,依然是其政治观、外交观的组成部分。

No matter what time period he was in,Zhou Enlai always knew the value and significance of sports from the perspective of the nationalism,and sports is conducive to national survival and development. ＂ The sports and national future together＂ is the core of Zhou Enlai sports view. Under the guidance of it,Zhou Enlai＇s sports view emphasized individual physical fitness,called on people to build their bodies and encouraged the development of competitive sports to get good grades. All reflect the strong political nature and respect of the law of sports. Given the time background and his social status,Zhou Enlai＇s sports view reflected his personal experience and understanding of the sports,but to a large extent,was still part of his political and diplomatic views.
