玻璃纤维材料电极对VRLA电池电气性能的改善

摘要 设计了一种新型卷绕式电极,研究了其对阀控式铅酸(VRLA)电池性能的影响。结果表明,由于其独特的结构——高强度、轻质的镀铅玻璃纤维栅格、相当薄的电极板和充分的内部压力,新型卷绕式电极的性能明显超过传统的方型VRLA电池。与传统铸造格栅相比,新型格栅质量减轻40%。在深度充放电循环300次之前,没有出现正极活性材料软化和膨胀,从本质上改善了循环性能。该卷绕式VRLA电池的制备技术工艺简单,成本低廉。 A kind of spirally-wound electrode was designed; the impact of the spirally-wound electrode on the performance of VRLA cells was studied. Because of its unique construction of high strength, light-weight lead-coated glass fiber mesh as the grid, comparatively thin plates and sufficient internal compression, this new design provides significant advantages over the conventional prismatic type of VRLA battery. The total weight of grids can be reduced by 40% compared with the conventional cast grids. There is no positive active material softening and expansion until after over 300 deep cycles. The substantial improvement of the cycle performance is achieved. This technique provides a convenient process for manufacturing VRLA battery in a simple and low cost way.
