Four Generations of Chinese Scholars and Their Contributions to the East Asian Library of North America

华人图书馆馆员在推动中华文化走向世界、璀璨世界文明方面扮演了重要角色。论文运用文献研究法、分析归纳法,从文献学、图书馆学等角度,介绍了服务于北美东亚图书馆的四代华人概况,并进一步阐述了他们在建设东亚馆藏、推动汉学研究和中西文化交流方面所做出的重大贡献。

The Chinese librarians play important roles in promoting Chinese culture to the world, and promoting world civilization. With the literature research method and inductive analysis, this paper introduces four generations of Chinese serving in East Asian Libraries in North America from the aspects of philology and librarianship, and further elaborates their contributions in the construction of East Asian collection and the promotion of the sinological studies and the cultural communication between China and the West.
