This paper elaborated natural resources, germplasm resources, scientific research strength, edible and medicinal value, regional distribution, planting season, seed marketing, the main varieties, yield, production, brand creation, market sales and so on, which are suitable for the development of characteristics buckwheat production. Problems existing in the development of characteristic buckwheat industry were found out, the development potential was analyzed, and some countermeasures and suggestions were put forward, so as to provide reference for the development of buckwheat industry in Bijie.
