中成药英文说明书的语篇建构

Text Construction of English Package Inserts of Chinese Medicine

基于语料分析对比的方法,发现目前国内的中成药英文说明书与西药英文说明书呈现出不同的语篇构成特点。西药说明书都有详细的临床试验、药理毒理等方面的信息。中英文对照的中成药说明书一般没有提供实验数据方面的信息,相当一部分说明书甚至缺乏重要的关乎用药安全方面的信息。此外,国内中英文对照的中成药说明书构成项目英译名称缺乏规范统一性,大部分构成项目英译名称准确率很低。在建构中成药说明书的英译文本时,译者需要对药品说明书语类的先前文本有所认识,了解它们的语篇特点、交际目的、结构潜势等,充分利用互文参照,结合目标语受众的认知特点,采用适当的语言表达形式,建构规范的中成药英文说明书语篇,提高国外消费者对中药产品的认可度。

A data- based comparative study revealed that there were some different features between the bilingual package inserts of Chinese medicine and the English package inserts of western medicine in terms of text construction For example, some sections such as ＂Clinical trial＂ and ＂Pharmacology and toxicology＂ were listed in the English package inserts of western medicine, whereas these essential sections were not presented in the bilingual package inserts of Chinese medicine. In addition, there seemed to be no standard versions concerning the translation of section titles of Chinese medicine inserts, most of which were not acceptable. It was suggested that translators should get familiar with the pre - texts of the package inserts, especially their text features, communicative purposes, structure potentials. Furthermore, they should make full use of intertextual references, take the audience＇ s cognition into consideration and choose proper ways of expression when constructing English texts of package inserts of Chinese medicine, which aim to convey the information successfully and increase the popularity of Chinese medicine in the international community.
