The Investigation about Problems during the Process of Establishing the Earlier Guangzhou Communist Organization

1920年夏,谭平山、陈公博和谭植棠从北大毕业回广州,途经上海时,三人参与并参加了正在发起的中国共产党组织,这是广州早期组织发起创建的嚆矢。回广州后即开始发起创建工作,从组织青年团入手。广州社会主义青年团的建立,客观上宣告了广州早期组织的存在。广州青年团成立之时,还是共产主义者与无政府主义者混合物。陈独秀南下广州后,将无政府主义者清除出团组织,并以团组织内的共产主义者为基础,重组或重建了广州早期组织。

In the summer of 1920, Tan Pingshan, Chen Gongbo and Tan Zhitang went back to Guangzhou after graduating from Peking University. When they passed by Shanghai, they attended the preparatory work of the Chinese Communist Party and then participated in it. This is the initial commencement of the earlier Guangzhou communist organization. Upon the arrival in Guangzhou, they immediately began to sponsor the institution establishment through the organization of Communist Youth League. The foundation of Guangzhou So- cialist Youth League was the mixture of communist and anarchist when it was set up, which declared the existence of earlier Guangzhou communist organization as a matter of course. Later, Chen Duxiu cleared the anarchist away from the league, and recombined or reestablished the earlier Guangzhou communist organization based on the communist after his down south tour to Guangzhou.
