地方性高职院校学生英语角学习活动的实证研究--以汕尾职业技术学院为样本

Empirical Research on the English Corner in Local Vocational Colleges——A Case Study of Shanwei Vocational and Technical College

该文制定《汕职院外语系英语角调查问卷》,运用定量研究方法 ,对汕职院外语系共276名英语专业学生进行了问卷调查,了解学生口语现状、对英语角活动的看法及态度、英语角活动开展形式和参加英语角的学习动机四个方面的情况,结果发现学生缺乏英语口语实践训练,非常渴望能增加更多的交际机会。应继续举办丰富多彩的英语角活动,激发他们的口语学习动机,强化英语口语教学,提升高职教育的培养质量。

The writer conducts a survey about the English Corner among 276 students by using the quantitative analysis, whose aim is to find out four aspects --the students＇ oral English situations, their attitudes to English activity, the forms, and motivations for taking part in the English Corner. The result reveals that the students lack language practical training and are very eager to get more communicative chances. The English Corner activity is a necessary extracurricular activity, which can stimulate students＇ oral English study motivations, strengthen English teaching, and improve the quality of vocational education.
