Steel production process has produced large amounts of CO2. This paper focuses on the role of CO2 in converter steelmaking process, introduces application and effect of CO2 in converter steelmaking and the whole process of steelmaking, and discusses the methods for reducing the impact of CO2 on environment in steelmaking process and the methods for improving the effect of smelting.
