Type-C全称USB Type-C接口,由USB-IF组织于2014年8月份发布,是USB标准化组织为了解决USB接口长期以来物理接口规范不统一,电能只能单向传输等弊端而制定的全新数据、视频、音频、电能传输接口规范。基于USB Type-C接口标准的USB PD 2.0标准,是一个开放的标准,提供了数据、电能和音频视频传输的完整协议框架,同时具有自定义数据包功能,和Type-C接口标准相辅相成,对消费电子应用带来革命性的变化。
The USB Type-C specification was first released by the USB Implementers Forum(U SB-IF) in August, 2014. It is a truly new solution for data, audio/video, and power delivery to overcome the disadvantages of long-term legacy different USB physical interfaces, and unidirectional power delivery. Based on Type-C specification, USB Power Delivery 2.0 is an open specification, which provides VDM (Vendor Defined Messaging), and a complete protocol framework for data, audio/video, and power delivery. Combined with USB Type-C, USB Power Delivery will bring revolution in the application of consumer electronics.
