This paper introduces the HX locomotive sanding system and its principle, characteristics of sand bodies, combined with field application in Hami locomotive depot, through the investigation and analysis, finding out the fault reasons and effects of the system and the effect of sand and other external factors, then give improvement methods to the sand system, the purpose is to improve its spray effect of sand. Finally, the failure of sanding system is solved efficiently.
