The Archive's Ontology of Zhang Xuecheng

清代的章学诚不仅在中国古典文史研究方面有着卓越的成就,与此同时在古代档案学理论方面也有着重要的创见。他在其代表作《文史通义》当中大量论述了有关档案的知识,如档案的内容、作用、分类、载体等,直观反映了其档案本体观,对档案学建设做出了巨大贡献,值得我们关注与研究。

Besides his remarkable achievement in the field of Classical Chinese history, Zhang Xuecheng also has insightful cognition about the theory of Archival Science. In his representative work Wen Shi Tong Fi, Zhang discussed broadly and deeply about the archive, such as the content, function, category and the carrier of the archive. All these reflect his views about the archive＇s ontology that contributed a lot to the Archival Sc＇ience, and this deserves our earnest attention.
