Editors＇ primary evaluation of sci-tech journal is the first link in the editing process.Problems in the primary evaluation of sci-tech journal are proposed,which are long working time-delay,and editors not good at the contribution＇s content.In order to improve the quality and efficiency of primary evaluation,the following methods are suggested：properly using the academic misconduct system;building complete website information;shortening the initial evaluation working time;giving the clear opinions to manuscript rejection and modification;using peer view experts database to choose the relevant experts;completing the expert database.Only the editors are willing to study the editing knowledge and the domains of disciplines and specialty,can an editor becomes the senior compound talent.Also editors should have a good state of mind and humanistic spirit.Thus,which will benefit the long-time growth of sci-tech journals.
