In order to estimate the prevalence of Pseudorabies(PR)in swine breeding herds in Jiangxi Province, and to identify the potential risk factors,a cross-sectional study was conducted. According to the sampling strategy,73 swine breeding farms were randomly selected and divided into 3 types based on their scales, then the selected serum samples were tested by PRV g E-ELISA kits. Meanwhile,a spatial distribution map was drawn in terms of the 73 detailed addresses, and a questionnaire survey was conducted to analyze the relevant risk factors. Firstly, variates screened from single factor analysis(P 0.2)were imported into multiple logistic regression model. Then by means of backward induction, the variates were chosen to carry out regression analysis. Results showed that in Jiangxi Province, the herd prevalence of PR was 28.63%(95%CI:18.26%~38.99%),while the rate at individual level was 9.37%(95%CI:8.98%~9.77%). Besides, the infected farms distributed mainly in the middle area of Jiangxi province, including Shangrao,Fuzhou,Yingtan and Yichun. Two risk factors associated PR infection were found, one was whether there were other swine farms within 3 km(OR=4.766,P=0.020),and the other was if the farmers had willing to eradicate PR(OR=0.054,P=0.014).This study indicated that further training and propaganda about PR eradication for farmers should be strengthened, which would conducive to let them realize the importance and master professional techniques for PR prevention and control.
