高校图书馆编目外包问题研究

Research on the problems of cataloging outsourcing in university libraries

随着高校图书馆采购图书数量的增加,单靠图书馆编目馆员的工作已经远远不能满足馆内的编目需求。在此背景下,图书编目外包出现,高校图书馆与承包商合作,让承包商对图书进行编目和加工。文章分析了图书编目外包的优势和出现的问题,并对其发展提出改进建议。

With the increasing number of books, university library cataloging solely by librarians has been far from satisfying the demand of cataloging. Under this background, university libraries began to cooperate with contractors who catalog and process the books, which is called cataloging outsoureing. This article analyzes the advantages and problems of book cataloging outsourcing, and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.
