With the rapid development of global integration, Chinese and western culture communication and collisions increasing day by day. For this reason, British and American literature has deeply influenced the literature in our country, even influence young people＇s outlook on life, values and world view. By analyzing of.the charm of English and American literature and the characteristics of culture in our country, we get differences in the theme between British ＆ American and Chinese literature, taking the essence and discarding the dross. This method can help scholars to improve intercultural communicative competence, to avoid the interference from communication barriers, and to better understand the benefit ofbuilding harmonious society in the new situation.
